Building Malaysia’s AI Future: DC Union and SIC Form Joint Venture to Develop RM2.5 Billion AI-Ready Data Centre in Cyberjaya
A New Milestone for Malaysia’s AI-Ready Data Centre Infrastructure
Malaysia’s AI and digital economy are advancing rapidly, creating growing demand for secure, scalable, and high-performance digital infrastructure. To support this transformation, Data Centre Union Sdn Bhd (DC Union), a subsidiary of Robust HPC Sdn Bhd, has signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Selangor Industrial Corporation Sdn Bhd (SIC) to establish SIC Quantum Data Centre Sdn Bhd (SQDC). Together, they will develop a RM2.5 billion, 65MW AI-ready data centre campus in Cyberjaya, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as an emerging regional AI and digital infrastructure hub.
A Strategic Partnership for the Future
The joint venture combines SIC’s strategic role in driving Selangor’s digital development with DC Union’s expertise in data centre infrastructure, AI technologies, and high-performance computing. Through SQDC, both organisations share a common vision of building future-ready infrastructure that supports businesses, government agencies, and the nation’s growing AI ecosystem.
Purpose-Built for AI
Unlike conventional data centres, the new campus is designed to support the next generation of AI, cloud computing, and HPC workloads. With a planned capacity of 65MW, the facility will feature full immersion cooling technology to improve energy efficiency while supporting high-density AI computing. The development will also integrate renewable energy, including solar power, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible digital infrastructure development.
Driving Innovation Beyond Infrastructure
The vision for SQDC extends beyond building a data centre. The project includes plans for a Sovereign AI Command Centre and a Centre of Excellence to strengthen Malaysia’s AI capabilities, encourage innovation, and develop local talent. As part of this initiative, SQDC aims to produce at least 500 NVIDIA-certified engineers annually, helping to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals in AI, cloud computing, and data centre technologies.

Robust HPC’s Commitment to Malaysia’s Digital Future
As the parent company of DC Union, Robust HPC is proud to be part of this significant milestone. The formation of SQDC reflects our commitment to building advanced AI and digital infrastructure that enables innovation, accelerates AI adoption, and supports Malaysia’s long-term digital ambitions.
Together with SIC and our partners, we look forward to delivering world-class infrastructure that empowers businesses, nurtures local talent, and contributes to a stronger, more resilient digital economy.
