OneDrive sync app no longer supported on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1
To provide the most up-to-date and secure experience on current operating systems, as of January 1, 2022, Microsoft has announced that updates are no longer provided for the consumer version of your OneDrive desktop application on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.
Files will continue to sync via your OneDrive desktop application until March 1, 2022. After this date files will stop syncing to the cloud. Visit Microsoft’s support page to learn more. Files on your device and in your OneDrive will not be lost but will stop automatically syncing. After this date, you can access and update your files across devices using the OneDrive website.
